how can I find my car registration history?

Richard G asked:

I'm trying to remember the first car I ever owned, but I don't remember. I think it was a '72 Charger but I'm not 100% sure.
Is there any way I can find a list of all the cars I've owned or registered?

try your local dmv or auto insurance company

You should call the tax office of the town where you lived when you owned the car. They will have this information.

If it was all in the same state, I’m sure you contact the local DMV and they can pull it up. I don’t know of a national site though.

Contact your DMV, and c what u can come up with. it may help if u know ur license plates. it all depends on how far back they store their records. good luck.

Yes, go to to the DMV and request a form for your past vehicle registration history. They will have you fill out a form with all your information. Sometimes if you go when there is hardly any people they will look it up for you there, but it is rare for the DMV to not be packed. Usually they’ll mail you your vehicle registration history within 3-5 business days.
